Summer Kick-off Weekend Inspiration!

Here are some highlights from a wedding I shot a few weeks ago.  This couple made it clear to me that their BIG day was going to be laid back and low key! This was most certainly one of my favorite weddings to date, the entire day was seamless and absolutely gorgeous. They have an amazing family and circle of friends.  No one was stressed, we had almost no schedule and the whole day looked like something from a magazine!

DC Skyline Wedding in Mahogany and Purple

This couple tied the knot a few weeks ago at the Key Bridge Marriott.  Gorgeous views were outside every window! This early spring wedding was a blast to photograph with such great people.

Sunday Afternoon Garden Wedding

Wow, what a couple! I had the pleasure to attend and document this sentimental and beautiful wedding this past weekend.  Never before have I seen a huppah as gorgeous and meaningful as theirs. This ceremony included ribbon hand fasting, jumping the broom, and heartfelt self written exchanging of vows.

The Hindu Engagement Ceremony:

I had the honor a few weeks back to photography this couples engagement ceremony, it was beautiful! One of my favorite things about being a photographer is getting to take a peek into others worlds, their lifestyles, and rituals.

Last night was the 2014 Exposed DC opening at Longview gallery on 9th St. NW.  The turn out was incredible.  I was surrounded by my family and many friends.  I’m honored to be one of six best in show winners!

Here is a link to my interview:  http://exposeddc.com/2014/03/11/2014-best-show-erika-nizborski/

The show will be up until April 6th and it includes 49 fabulous photographs from 49 DC photographers.

Here are a few photos from opening night, one with my mom and I.

Fabulous photo session at the Library of Congress!

Today I had the privilege of photographing the amazingly talented and wonderful Sarah Lindblom, a dance archivist at the Library of Congress.  Here are a few highlights from the shoot.  The photos are going to be featured with a story on Ms. Lindblom’s accomplishments.

Details, Details, Details

It’s always important not to forget  the details! The little things, often overlooked they can be what really ties the event together!
